Today, Harbor Capital Advisors expanded its ETF library with the release of the Harbor PanAgora Dynamic U.S. Large Cap Core ETF (INFO).
INFO seeks to provide total return with a long-term horizon for its investors. The fund operates with a net expense ratio of 0.35%.
Primarily, INFO invests in large-cap equity securities. PanAgora Asset Management serves as the fund’s manager.
The PanAgora Strategy
When it comes to choosing assets to add to INFO’s portfolio, PanAgora uses a bottom-up evaluation approach. This investment strategy also mixes risk management with fundamental and quantitative research.
For the end result, INFO seeks to achieve a portfolio of large-cap performers with strong competitive advantages and robust valuations. In doing so, PanAgora’s strategy hopes to generate results that outperform the greater S&P 500.
“Our partnership with PanAgora is a continuation of our commitment to identifying and partnering with differentiated boutiques that we believe can generate strong returns for our investors. We think INFO could serve as a cornerstone in client portfolios,” added Kristof Gleich, Harbor Capital Advisors president & CIO.
“We particularly like their mindset of continuous improvement and commitment to thoughtfully improving their model with new signals as opportunities present themselves – dynamic research is key, especially in this era where data and technology continue to evolve at a rapid pace,” he added.
Part of PanAgora’s strategy involves the use of its proprietary alpha model. This model mixes a set of uncorrelated economic and fundamental factors to best measure the quality of an asset.
As a core fund, INFO can be swapped in against passive S&P 500 ETFs to seek long-term outperformance. The fund could also serve as a complement to more active strategies, due to the multifaceted merits of the PanAgora model.
Right now, Harbor Capital Advisors has more than 10 ETFs available in the United States. One of Harbor’s other long-term funds, the Harbor Long-Term Growers ETF (WINN ), has over $550 million in assets under management.
